First Lady Rhonda Bennett-Banks

Rhonda Bennett-Banks is a native Washingtonian where she attended the District of Columbia Public Schools and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School . Later, she graduated from Montgomery College and the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science.

First Lady Banks received the Lord as her Savior at age 19. Her primary focus in life is to share the “Good News” the “Gospel”. More importantly, she considers herself as a vessel being poured out as a sacrificial offering for the LORD!

She considers it an honor to serve alongside her husband in several ministries. However, her passion is advocating for families and children. She has directed the Youth Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Designer’s Touch, Clothing Drive for the Homeless, Seniors Wellness and Health Day, and has recently opened a licensed child care center for families.

She is the proud mother of three children, two grandchildren and two additional family members from Ethiopia who have joined the clan. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family, reading the bible, writing poetry, serving others, joking and antiquing.

Her favorite verses are Hebrews 12 vs.14 - Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord and Romans 14 vs. 11 - It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'"
