Rev. William Banks, Jr. is a native of our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C. He was educated in the public schools of Washington, D.C. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Maple Springs Bible College and his Master’s Degree from Capital Bible Seminary.

In 1982, William Banks Jr. joined Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church under the leadership of Rev. Alfred A. Owens, Jr. and he received Christ as his Savior within that year. Being led by the Holy Spirit,  Rev. Banks joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church in 1991; under the leadership of the late Dr. Arthur Crowley where he became ordained served as minister.

God assigned Rev. Banks as pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in 1997. During his tenure, a new church edifice has been erected, souls have been saved  and he continues to spread the gospel in the community admist the pandemic.

Rev. Banks has been married to his high school sweetheart for nearly 40 years.

More importantly, Rev. Banks loves the Lord and considers it an honor and privilege that GOD chose him to be a shepherd for HIS people for such a time as this!
